The article is devoted to the linguistic analysis of contemporary political discourse in France and Germany concerning the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. The study is based on a corpus of public speeches, official statements, and publications in leading media outlets of the two countries covering the period 2022–2025. The research identifies key lexical units and rhetorical strategies that shape the representation of the conflict and the positions of the parties involved. It has been established that French discourse is characterized by a stronger tendency toward diplomatic language, the use of euphemisms, and appeals to the idea of European unity, whereas German discourse is distinguished by a more pragmatic and direct expression of positions, frequent reliance on economic arguments, and emphasis on European security. The findings provide deeper insights into the role of linguistic means in shaping public opinion and political narratives surrounding the Ukrainian crisis within the European political sphere. The rhetorical techniques employed make it possible to produce ideologically charged and emotionally colored political texts capable of shaping the recipient’s perceptions and evaluations of facts and events and, in some cases, influencing their political stance.
