the article examines the history of the development of physical culture and sports in the territory of the Yenisei province in the first half of the 1920s. This period can be called the stage of formation of the Soviet system of physical culture and sports. Having organized as part of military physical training under Vsevolod, physical education and sports gradually moved to a circle system of organization. The work was dictated by the military-political, ideological, educational and educational guidelines of the Soviet state. The article provides links to the main historical documents of the central government authorities that influenced the development of physical culture and sports in the country. In accordance with national policy, the first official governing bodies in the field of physical culture and sports in the Yenisei province were formed. Different types of sports appeared and developed. Gymnastics, football, cycling, athletics, and other sports have become very popular. The network of sports grounds gradually developed, sports equipment was purchased, and physical education personnel were trained. Despite the existing problems in the first half of the 1920s, the formed governing bodies of the sphere of physical culture and sports, together with the RKSM and trade unions, were able to organize physical culture and sports work in the Yenisei province and gradually bring it to a new stage of development.
