The activities of famous Crimean political figures who showed their activity on the territory of Russia in the 19th – 20th centuries are analyzed. In 2024, it would have been 160 years since the birth of the famous Russian and Soviet doctor Sergei Andreevich Nikonov, who left a bright mark in the history of medicine in the Arkhangelsk province, working as a surgeon and gynecologist. In the process of searching for information, the memoirs of Sergei Andreevich, archival documents, articles about him, and the recollections of acquaintances were used. In Russian history, S. A. Nikonov is known not only as a highly qualified doctor, the son of the famous mayor of Sevastopol A. I. Nikonov, but also as a «Narodovolets, political prisoner and exiled settler, the author of memoirs about A. I. Ulyanov». Having survived exiles to Arkhangelsk, he remained true to his work – to treat people. S. A. Nikonov was recognized as an outstanding surgeon; his medical knowledge and good attitude towards patients earned him enormous respect and popularity from his colleagues and the population. His life is full of stories worthy of a separate book about the Russian exile of the late 19th – early 20th centuries.
