The article examines the text of the unpublished memoirs of an active participant and one of the leaders of the partisan movement in eastern Crimea A. A. Kulikovsky as a source on the history of resistance to the German-Romanian occupation during the Great Patriotic War. It has been established that this written evidence has a large factual component, which is in demand for the study of various aspects of the armed and underground struggle of the people’s avengers against the invaders, since it allows us to clarify the forms and directions of the combat and reconnaissance-sabotage activities of the partisan detachments, their organizational structure and personnel, the moral and psychological state of the fighters, living conditions and everyday life, the nature of the punitive operations of the enemy and the participation of local collaborators in them. The article raises the issue of the need for further improvement of the methods of source study heuristics in order to identify and introduce into scientific circulation unpublished memoirs and diaries of Crimean partisans and underground fighters, which may be stored in personal archives and owned by individuals.
