The research continues the storyline «Grinevich and Kerch», which was started by the author in previous years’ publications. Based on the identified documents from the handwritten department of the Scientific Archive of the Institute for the History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which are being introduced into scientific circulation for the first time, the story of one year from the rich creative biography of Konstantin Eduardovich Grinevich (1891–1970), a prominent archaeologist and museum figure, has been recreated. The milestone period of the historian’s biography was associated with his appointment as Commissioner for Museums of the Sevastopol region, and then director of the Chersonesos Archaeological Museum. Communications of K. E. Grinevich during this period are considered. The new head of the museum association in Sevastopol organized an All-Union scientific seminary for the study of ancient and medieval history on the basis of the Chersonesos Museum. However, his innovation was not supported by scientists from the Russian Academy of the History of Material Culture. The publication contains the text of K. E. Grinevich’s brief report on the archaeological expedition he led on the Kerch Peninsula this year, the texts of his letters to the Archaeological Department of the Museum Department of the Main Science of the People’s Commissariat of Education of the RSFSR.
