The principles of design and construction of high-rise buildings in seismic areas, the influence of urban planning principles of designing such buildings on architecture and planning solutions of buildings, especially on the example of the Republic of Crimea, are considered. Based on the experience of previous studies, the author has identified the main types of seismic protection, features of their use, advantages and disadvantages that can be used when placing high-rise buildings in the design territories. The objectives of the study are determined by the development of earthquake-prone regions, in particular the Republic of Crimea, and the development of high-rise construction. The research methodology determines the ways to solve problems related to the design and construction of high-rise buildings and structures, taking into account the requirements of urban planning.
