Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article substantiates the thesis that the Modern civilisation is ideological, the dominant ideology in it is liberalism, and the development of this civilisation as a whole is determined by the development of liberalism, which in the last third of the 20th century entered the stage of radical liberalism (ultra-liberalism). The global and total expansion of ultra-liberalism is the essence of the Ultramodern era. The Ultramodern is bringing the ‘project’ of Modernity to its logical conclusion, to its historical limit and self-denial, just as ultraliberalism as the dominant ideology of the Ultramodern era means bringing the postulates and aspirations of classical liberalism to the extreme. The crisis of the Ultramodern is the most important symptom of the exhaustion of the entire project of Modernity, i.e. modern (liberal, Western-centric, capitalist, thalassocratic, secular) civilisation.

Keywords:
ideology, the Modern ideological civilisation, liberalism, radical liberalism (ultra-liberalism), the Ultramodern, the West.
