FEATURES OF THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL STUDY OF THE SHELF ZONE AND THE CONTINENTAL SLOPE OF THE BLACK SEA
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
the history of deep-sea research in the Black Sea is considered on the example of the implementation of several scientific projects off the coast of Turkey, Bulgaria and Crimea. Many special technical means have appeared in the arsenal of modern archaeologists, primarily remotely operated vehicles. Separately, the author highlights the natural factors associated with climate change and affecting the preservation of underwater cultural heritage sites, such as chemical, biological, and geoecological. The author concludes that the sections of the continental slope and the basin of the Black Sea will remain the most favorable for the preservation of underwater archaeological sites.

Keywords:
